Jessica Koiner
Jessica has a passion for all things wellness - food, fitness, exercise, and mental/emotional wellbeing. These desires have collided into a career as an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and owner of The Milk Box! It is her absolute joy to help families reach their feeding goals and support them every step of the way. She and her husband moved to Fort Worth from Georgia in 2012 only one week after getting married and haven’t looked back! They love trying new restaurants and exploring new places with their kiddos.
Jessica’s ideal day involves sitting outside at a brunch place on a sunny, breezy 75 degree day with her family and then snuggles on the couch with her husband, Michael, while watching a movie that makes her laugh (and a snack would just top it all off because food is life!). Their whole family enjoys music - singing and playing it - and have many a loud dance party in the kitchen with the kids. Michael and Jess spend their “free time” pouring in to a ministry that they helped create for young couples at Christ Chapel Bible Church, called Avenew. You can also find both of them on stage in the band several times a month leading worship on Sundays.
Jessica is a passionate, loyal, determined fellow mama. She doesn’t know a stranger and is so thrilled to be part of the FIT4MOM Fort Worth team. This community has been the thing that she never knew she needed and has changed her life for the better in countless ways. My favorite part of instructing is watching other moms discover in themselves strength and capability. When they push themselves a little further and actually do the thing! Their success is my success! Their joy in those moments gives me joy! I hope moms leave my class feeling adequately challenged, that they pushed themselves a bit and succeeded. I want them to feel proud of themselves. Proud that they showed up, tried something new, persevered through something hard, and hopefully laughed a little along the way! Most importantly, I want moms to feel safe and seen. This is a place where lasting friendships and support can be fostered and that is far more important to me than what your thighs look like.
Motherhood is tough but with community, we can get through it together! Here’s to the future and whatever it holds! Let’s do this, Mamas!
